2011年3月11日の東北関東大震災で被災された方々には、心からお見舞い申し上げます。第一回エコマラソン印旛（エコインバ）開催地の千葉県印西市も震度6弱の烈震に襲われました。同震災の影響でエコインバ は開催されるのか、との問合せが米国、シンガポールやタイを含む参加者から寄せられました。
烈震の翌日、参加者の安全を確認する為、エコインバ 主催者は全コースを巡回し、路面状況を確認しました。幸運にも、参加者の通行に支障が起こり得る道路のひび割れや段差、陥没等は確認出来ませんでした。唯一、北印旛沼沿い自転車道の路肩の一部に陥没や1cm程度のひび割れ等がありましたが、参加者の通行に危険と認められる路面の段差等はありませんでした。
なお、第一回エコインバ の主催者は参加費全額と皆様の暖かい募金を東北関東大震災被災者の生活再建の為に寄付する事を決定し、ボランティアリーダー会議の席で伝えました。日本やカナダからも寄付のお申出を頂いた事に、深く感謝します。合掌
We sincerely sympathy to the people affected by the Great Kanto Tohoku Earthquake on March 11, 2011. Inzai city, Chiba Prefecture, at thevenue,
was hit by the earthquake of intensity 5. We received inquiries from the participants including USA, Singapore and Thai if we are planning to organize the inaugural Ecomarathon Inba or not. Our answer is YES, WE ORGANIZE ECOMARATHON INBA aka ECO INBA ON APRIL 3, 2011.
Day after the earthquake, the organizer of ECO INBA patroled the entire course to confirmed the road condition, in order to ensure the safety of the participants. Fortunately, roads cracked and possible steps to hinder the passage of participants, such as depression could not be confirmed.
Only depression of the shoulder part of the bike path along the north Lake Inba and maximum of 1cm wide cracks were found. But there were no steps of the road surface seems to be dangerous to the participants.
Let’s pray the aftershocks quickly fit in and to those victims who, as soon as possible, for a happiness and quiet life may come again. The organizer of the inaugural Ecomarathon Inba wants it to be held on April 3, 2011 as scheduled in honor of the reconstruction of affected areas, to bring life and hope to the people of the region and the world.
The organizer of the inaugural ECO INBA will be happy to donate all registration fee and donation money from Japan and Canada to the victims of the Great Kanto Tohoku Earthquake to show OUR CARE and help to reconstruct their HAPPY LIFE again. Thank you. Deep bow,
